The Lantana is a Grade II-listed Georgian building situated on Weymouth’s Seafront Esplanade. We extend a warm welcome to you and aim to make your stay in Weymouth as enjoyable as possible. We occupy a wonderful position adjacent to Weymouth’s historic harbour and beautiful sandy beach and are also walking distance from the town, harbour, train station and bus stops. We provide bed and breakfast and comfortable en-suite rooms, all of which have either beach or views to the historic and picturesque harbour.
Breakfast is served in the dining room or in warmer weather on the sun terrace overlooking the harbour.

Eating Out
Weymouth has a wide and plentiful range of restaurants and cafés, catering for all tastes, appetites and pockets within walking distance of The Lantana. From traditional fish and chips (eat in or take away) to fine dining establishments, many of which serve locally caught seafood, you won’t go hungry.
If you’d like some liquid refreshment there are numerous bars around the town, many with views over the harbour or Weymouth’s beautiful sandy beach.

On the beach
The beach is superb and consists of sand which sweeps around the bay changing to shingle along the extended Esplanade. In the summer, all the usual facilities are on hand: donkeys, Punch & Judy, swing boats, trampolines, volleyball court and Weymouth’s famous sand modeller. Weymouth has one of the safest – and cleanest – beaches in the country and is regularly in the top ten recommended beaches lists. The fine, soft sand is perfect for building sandcastles and the shallow bay ideal for paddling or swimming. Behind the beach Weymouth’s Esplanade boasts a wide choice of cafés and restaurants, bars, ice creams sellers and shops to buy buckets, spades and sunhats.
Dogs are allowed anywhere on the beach during the winter until Easter; in the spring and summer seasons specially marked dog-exercising areas are available.
